Tinashe Delivers Electrifying Performance for “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” 2025
Tinashe rang in 2025 with a medley of hits on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, ending her 2024 on a high note.
Tinashe ended her remarkable 2024 with a blazing performance during ABC’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on Tuesday night (Dec. 31).
Wearing a bedazzled pinstripe outfit, the Kentucky-raised artist performed a medley including “No Broke Boys,” a fan favorite from her seventh studio album, Quantum Baby. She also captivated viewers with a live rendition of her hit single, “Nasty.”
“'Cause it feels like heaven when it hurts so bad/ Baby, put it on me, I like it just like that, just like that,” Tinashe sang as her backup dancers added even more flair to the Ricky Reed-produced track. “Nasty,” her viral comeback single, peaked at No. 61 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has racked up over 40 million views on YouTube. She also treated fans to a performance of her 2014 smash hit, “2 On.”
“It’s always been a holiday tradition to turn on ‘New Year's Rockin' Eve’ and see all the performances, so to be a part of the performances and be on stage is definitely an honor,” Tinashe told ABC’s On The Red Carpet.
Compared to the star-studded lineup of 2024, which included Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, and Doechii, this year’s roster featured a more subdued mix of artists. Performances on the West Coast included Fat Joe, Ja Rule, and T-Pain.
Tinashe is currently on a short hiatus from the Australian leg of her Match My Freak World Tour. She’ll return to the stage on Saturday (Jan. 4) at the Wildlands Festival in Perth, followed by shows in Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney. After that, she’s set to perform in Japan on Jan. 14 and Jan. 15.
The tour will conclude in Europe and the U.K. this February, with stops planned in cities like Berlin, Paris, London, and Dublin.
